I was approached by Right To Roam (North West) to help them create a banner for their organised demonstrations, which demand expanded public access to private land, rivers, and mountains. 

Right To Roam were keen to have an inviting sign which they could carry on their demonstrations so members of the public could easily identify who they are and would feel more comfortable in approaching them to ask what they are doing. 

The group created one 100cm x 120cm banner on cotton canvas. Each group member hand-cut a letter of their choice and created a series of icons of their choosing which would surround the text. 

I finalised the banner in my Manchester-based textile studio by stitching all the text and icons down to provide longevity to the banner.
